Lunch At The Winery

Lunch At The Winery

We live in Oregon wine country and have Wine Club Memberships at two very fine wineries in the Willamette Valley, Willamette Valley Vineyards in Salem and

Durant Vineyards in Dayton. We are invited to Christmas dinner with my housemates brother, so we are bringing wine.

Today we went to the Willamette Valley Vineyards to have lunch and pick up some wine for the visit and for ourselves. Their food is good, as always. We were thrilled to find out that they are now serving food in the Members Room. The view from there of the Willamette Valley is spectacular.

They have not had lunches there since they completed their renovations a year ago. I had missed being able to sit their with some lunch and look out over the vineyards and the Willamette Valley. The main room, where we have had lunch since the renovations, are nice, but nowhere as nice as this room.

So needless to say, we were happy to sit and have lunch in our favorite spot again. Take a look at a few photos, and you can see why we like it so much.

  1. The first photo with the two wine glasses and the scene through the window is so romantic.
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday….however may I ask you to change what you have noted for the link to my blog Lavender Cottage please? Mary at Little Red House has not hosted this meme since August when I took over. Thanks.
    Merry Christmas!

  2. It’s been many years since I’ve visited the Willamette Valley and the wines. This looks like such a great way to spend the day. Lovely scenery and good wine!
